Re: Donation in Memory of Karen Field

Dear Board of Education:

I would like to make an initial donation of $1,000 in memory of my wife Karen Field who was a Special Education Aide at Arongen Elementary School. During her three years at Arongen, Karen loved being part of the Arongen Family of teachers, staff and children. She was particularly fond of the children she worked with directly and she had a special place in her heart for the children of lesser means in the school.

I would like a fund to be set up in Karen’s name for access by the staff at Arongen with oversight by Principal Benjamin Roberts. This fund would be used to purchase school supplies, small clothing items, backpacks, snacks and other items needed by children of lesser means in Arongen as identified by teachers and staff. My goal is to keep the fund active and able to provide needed resources many years into the future. I would therefore like to be able provide additional monies to the fund going forward. If possible, I would like the fund to be designated as “Karen’s Kids.”

I sincerely appreciate this opportunity to help the children in Arongen on behalf of Karen. I believe that this program will also help keep Karen’s graciousness and giving spirit alive with us. Thank you.

Sincerely,
